Google Search Console is a source of valuable data and insights for webmasters. However, the ability to access that data and information on other third-party platforms is not an option.<\/span><\/p>\n

But that may change soon.<\/span><\/p>\n

In a <\/span>recent video on the Google Webmasters YouTube channel<\/span><\/a>, Google\u2019s Martin Splitt revealed that the company is working on plans that would bring Google Search Console\u2019s data to third-party content platforms.<\/span><\/p>\n

The video, as you can see, is about the future of the web. During the discussion, Splitt mentioned that the future involves bringing data to where people already are. He hinted that the integration of the data from the Search Console would be done through an API.<\/span><\/p>\n

Although Martin was slightly more ambiguous in the execution of this process than we would have preferred, he still revealed some interesting insights in Google\u2019s future plans, thought-processes, and discussions that would be going behind closed doors.<\/span><\/p>\n

He said:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe are working on ways of integrating external parties and external content providers and platforms to get the data that we are collecting already for search console.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

We don\u2019t want [webmasters] to have to specifically go into Search Console and now they deal with the interface they\u2019re used to and then deal with something new.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

That\u2019s why we are bringing the data into these platforms and eventually, hopefully, once we have gathered enough information to understand how the data is used, and what data is necessary and meaningful to external parties, we will open these interfaces.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

There are two takeaways here.<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Google seems to be quite ahead in the process of integrating Search Console data than many would have imagined at this stage. It looks like they have already gathered a substantial amount of information.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Second, Google\u2019s plan is to reduce the need for webmasters to log into the Search Console for data retrieval.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    As Martin Splitt highlighted in the video, <\/span>\u201cWe want to surface this where people already are. At this point in time too early on to open it up to the general public but eventually, that\u2019s going to happen.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

    We, for one, can\u2019t wait to access our valuable Search Console data in other third-party platforms.<\/span><\/p>\n
